Verizon Wireless has gone live with Dice Corporation and IPtelX, providing its clients with full call branding capabilities. Dice Corporation and its sister company, IPtelX, have been actively developing and testing within the call-branding ecosystem, conducting beta projects with all major mobile carriers over the past two years. Representing the security industry in this initiative, Dice Corporation has emphasized the importance of allowing wireless subscribers to see the alarm company’s logo and the reason for the call.
Verizon is the second carrier to offer call branding to its clients, following Dice’s successful launch with T-Mobile earlier this year. AT&T is currently refining its solutions for wireless customers and is expected to go live early next year. Clifford Dice, CEO of Dice Corporation, said, “Call branding is very important for our
industry, as it helps subscribers instantly recognize their alarm company and understand the reason for the call. We’re seeing significantly higher answer rates when the company logo and call reason are displayed. Our commitment to providing life safety systems at the lowest possible cost to help protect people remains at the heart of everything we do.”
He added, “This is also one of the greatest advancements the alarm industry has ever made in reducing false alarms to PSAPs. We will continue to push forward to minimize unnecessary use of first responders as Dice drives innovation in this critical area.”
