Honoring Industry Leaders and Marking a Leadership Transition
The Fire & Security Executive Club is inviting industry professionals, supporters, and philanthropists to join its annual dinner event, dedicated to raising vital funds for the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation.
This year’s gathering, set for Monday, November 17, 2025, from 5 PM to 9 PM at BOND 45 (221 West 46th Street, New York, NY), promises an evening of networking, inspiration, and giving back to those affected by burn injuries. Dinner tickets are available for $150 each, with opportunities to reserve tables or contribute through sponsorship.
Attendance at the dinner offers a unique chance to connect with peers in the fire and security sectors while supporting a meaningful cause. Sponsorship levels include Courage ($1,000), Hope ($2,500), and Phoenix ($5,000), each providing benefits such as logo placement on the event registration page and backdrop banner, verbal recognition during the event, complimentary tickets, and optional speaking opportunities. In-kind donations for on-site raffles are also welcomed.
The event will honor distinguished leaders in the fire and security industry for their contributions and commitment to safety: Luke Mosley (Pye-Barker Complete Security Systems), Ken Nelson (Channel Partner Development Manager of M2M), Janet Fenner (President of Defined Marketing), Tracy Larson (President of WeSuite), Val Sherer (COO of Phoenix Fire & Security Solutions), Lauren Mosley (Pye-Barker General Manager of Complete Security Systems), and Robert Shoremount (Owner of Strandberg Consulting).
Guest speakers Dana Haile, Emily Hespeler, and Carolina Savodal will share insights on burn care, recovery, and community impact, adding depth to the evening’s focus on healing and prevention.
The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 1975 by firefighters, is dedicated to advancing burn care, research, prevention, education, and treatment. It supports the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, a leading facility providing comprehensive care for burn victims, including specialized treatments for physical and emotional recovery.
The Foundation also funds essential programs like the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp, founded in 1991 and located in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. This week-long camp offers children aged 8-18 who have suffered severe burn injuries a supportive environment to build confidence, form friendships, and participate in fun activities, guided by volunteer counselors, firefighters, nurses, and therapists. Through initiatives like this, the Foundation helps young survivors set aside their scars and embrace joy, fostering long-term healing.
The event’s theme draws inspiration from the Phoenix, a mythical bird reborn from its ashes, symbolizing the hope of healing and recovery for burn survivors who often endure devastating physical and emotional trauma, including a profound loss of self. This powerful emblem underscores the Foundation’s mission to restore lives and prevent future tragedies.
This year’s dinner holds special significance as Ken Gould, a longstanding leader of the Fire & Security Executive Club, steps down after years of dedicated service. Gould will hand over the reins to two exceptional new co-chairs: Elsie Deery, a prominent advocate for the Foundation with a strong track record in charitable initiatives, and Wanda Nazar, a dynamic professional with over 20 years in the fire alarm industry, known for her exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
“We are grateful for Ken Gould’s visionary leadership and excited to welcome Elsie Deery and Wanda Nazar as they carry forward this important tradition,” an anonymous individual within the leadership team said. “Together, we can make a lasting difference for burn victims and their families.”
