Kwikset Launches Aura Reach Smart Lock With Matter Integration

Matter and Bluetooth connectivity meets hands-free entry, proximity sensor to illuminate the LED-backlit keypad upon approach, and step-by-step guided onboarding

Kwikset® announced the launch of Aura Reach™, a new smart lock that combines Matter and Bluetooth connectivity to deliver flexible, intelligent home access and automation. Aura Reach is designed for DIY connected households, offering hands-free auto unlock, proximity keypad wakeup, and guided onboarding through the Kwikset app.

The new smart lock is built to integrate seamlessly into modern smart home ecosystems while maintaining Kwikset’s legacy of mechanical security.

Aura Reach works with major Matter-enabled platforms including Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home. It is compatible with both iPhone® and Android devices. Through the Kwikset app, homeowners receive education and guided onboarding into their chosen smart home platform.

Users can remotely control the lock, trigger connected devices based on lock actions, and create automations to enhance home security and convenience.

The lock is equipped with Kwikset’s patented SmartKey Security, enabling users to rekey the lock in seconds and providing protection against advanced break-in techniques. Aura Reach is ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certified and available in Satin Nickel and Matte Black finishes, both backed by a lifetime finish warranty.

Installation is designed for DIY users, requiring only a screwdriver and guided by an interactive, step-by-step setup process through the Kwikset app.

Aura Reach will be available this winter for $189 through major retailers. It joins Kwikset’s growing lineup of Matter-enabled smart locks, including Halo Select and Halo Select Plus.
