SS&Si Dealer Network announced the addition of Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) to its growing portfolio of security technologies, offering its’ dealers access to a groundbreaking solution designed to enhance safety and emergency response in active shooter situations.
SDS combines acoustic and infrared sensors to detect gunfire in under a second, sending automated alerts to central stations and first responders with no human intervention required.
Two distinct versions of the system are available through SS&Si Dealer Network:
- SDS Powered by Alarm.com: Designed for integration with Alarm.com for Business, this version includes indoor gunshot sensors that communicate directly through the Alarm.com ecosystem. It does not currently support outdoor detection or third-party video platforms.
- SDS Enterprise Solution: This standalone version includes indoor and outdoor sensors, and can be integrated into third-party VMS platforms. This makes SDS Enterprise a powerful hybrid solution that integrates multiple technologies from the SS&Si catalog for flexible deployment in enterprise and commercial environments.
