    Executive Summary

Allegion US has expanded the Schlage XE360 Series with RealSync Persistent Wi-Fi Technology, delivering real-time connectivity, device visibility and control without requiring additional wiring or infrastructure. Building upon the success of the XE360 Series offline locks introduced in 2024, the wireless solution brings intelligent, real-time access control deeper into commercial buildings.

Allegion US has expanded the Schlage XE360 Series with RealSync Persistent Wi-Fi Technology, delivering real-time connectivity, device visibility and control without requiring additional wiring or infrastructure.

Building upon the success of the XE360 Series offline locks introduced in 2024, the wireless solution is designed to bring intelligent, real-time access control deeper into commercial buildings.

The technology delivers the type of management typically associated with wired access systems without the gateways, panels, wires or complex installation traditionally required.

    Persistent Wi-Fi Connectivity

Historically, wireless access control over Wi-Fi has operated periodically, with devices waking on a set schedule, such as every 12 or 24 hours, to check in with the network.

The XE360 Series with RealSync changes this approach through RealSync, Allegion's first cloud-to-cloud communication protocol. The technology enables persistent Wi-Fi connectivity, providing an always-on connection for real-time monitoring alerts, instant remote lock and unlock capabilities, and immediate credential issuance or revocation from anywhere.

"The introduction of the XE360 Series with RealSync represents a seismic shift in the commercial access control landscape. By leveraging a building's existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, we are breaking the traditional barriers of cost and complexity. This allows building owners and operators the ability to affordably scale real-time access to every door, fundamentally changing how the market approaches wireless access control."

    Modular Upgrade And Remote Management

At the core of the solution is the interchangeable FleX Module. Properties that have previously deployed XE360 hardware as an offline solution can upgrade to real-time, persistent Wi-Fi connectivity by swapping the module.

The modular design preserves the initial lock investment, reduces electronic waste, and allows security systems to evolve alongside changing building requirements and technology demands.

XE360 locks utilizing RealSync can also take advantage of over-the-air firmware updates. These updates can be deployed remotely, allowing openings to receive the latest security enhancements without requiring physical visits by facilities teams.

The capability saves time, reduces on-site maintenance and improves operational efficiency. For openings utilizing XE360 devices in offline mode, at-the-door mobile updates are available.

Cost Savings And Extended Battery Life

Because the XE360 Series with RealSync connects through existing Wi-Fi networks, it eliminates the need for hubs, door service routers and extensive cabling.

This reduces upfront capital expenditures and installation time for both new construction and retrofit applications.

    Extended Battery Performance

Allegion has also addressed the typical six-month battery life limitation associated with wireless, Wi-Fi-enabled commercial locks. Through proprietary power optimization, the XE360 can achieve over one year of battery life using four standard AA batteries while maintaining its persistent Wi-Fi connection under suggested use.

The extended battery life reduces operational demands, minimizes maintenance visits and lowers total cost of ownership, while allowing savings to be redirected toward additional deployments throughout a building.

    Expanding Commercial Access Control

The simplified setup and feature set of the XE360 Series with RealSync expands Allegion's footprint beyond traditional multifamily environments.

The solution is designed to scale across commercial spaces, small-to-medium businesses, student housing and senior living facilities, with an architecture intended to support global expansion.

For property managers and operators, RealSync provides operational benefits through on-demand credential management, real-time audit trails and instant remote commands. These capabilities can improve property security, strengthen tenant satisfaction and ultimately help drive higher Net Operating Income (NOI).

    Ecosystem Integration

Multiple Physical Access Control Software (PACS) partners have already begun integrating with the cloud-based software platform that powers RealSync ahead of its commercial availability.

Longstanding PACS partner Brivo will be the first to offer a fully integrated RealSync solution to its ecosystem of security specifiers, dealers and end users, followed by additional partners.
