Executive Summary
OpenEye and CENTEGIX have announced a cloud-to-cloud integration that combines CENTEGIX alerting with OpenEye video to automatically stream live views from nearby cameras when an emergency alert is triggered — delivering critical visibility to first responders and security personnel to support faster, more informed response.
OpenEye and CENTEGIX are excited to announce their cloud-to-cloud integration, enhancing emergency response by automatically associating video with critical incident notifications.
This integration combines alerting from CENTEGIX with OpenEye video to stream live views from nearby cameras when an emergency alert is triggered, delivering critical visibility to first responders and security personnel.
“We’re thrilled to partner with CENTEGIX to provide users with rapid access to critical video during emergency situations. By combining OpenEye’s cloud video platform with CENTEGIX’s incident response capabilities, organizations can improve situational awareness and strengthen safety across their campus and facilities.”
How the Integration Works
The CENTEGIX-OpenEye cloud-to-cloud integration delivers OpenEye Web Services (OWS) video directly into the CENTEGIX Safety Platform. CrisisAlert™ emergency alerts are generated by wearable panic button activations and correlated with camera feeds to assist security operators through greater situational awareness. This helps support faster response by ensuring teams can more quickly assess threats and coordinate action.
Teams can also streamline investigations by combining detailed CENTEGIX alert data with surrounding video context from OpenEye to quickly identify relevant alerts, locations, and times when reviewing and sharing video. Additionally, this integration helps educational institutions meet state and district requirements, including Alyssa’s Law.
Manatee County School District
Manatee County School District is among the first districts to leverage the OpenEye-CENTEGIX integration, giving responders access to live video alongside emergency alerts when a wearable panic button is activated.
“Student success depends on creating schools where students and staff feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. By continuing to strengthen how we prepare for and respond to safety incidents, we’re helping create the kind of environment where our educators can teach with confidence and our students can thrive.”
“The first question every responder asks is, ‘What are we walking into?’ With hundreds of cameras in a typical school, it’s nearly impossible to quickly access the ones you need in real-time. CENTEGIX now provides an immediate solution. Live video, maps, and context will be automatically streamed directly to dispatchers and first responders, turning our cameras into a real-time response resource rather than solely a post-event tool.”
“Every second between receiving an alert and understanding what’s happening matters. By bringing live video and location information together, this integration gives on-site teams and, when needed, emergency response personnel greater context to assess a situation and coordinate an appropriate response. It’s another example of how connected technology can support faster, more informed action from everyday incidents to the most serious emergencies.”
